It’s a mental effect not claiming to read someone’s mind, but rather to control, or manipulate it. Effect: Magician removes a deck of cards from its case and spreads it face-up in his hands to show the random order. The magician then states that he will force the spectator subconsciously to select their own card. Returning the cards to the case the spectator is asked to name their selection and have them remove the cards from the case and spell down to the card they selected, one card for each letter. When they get to the last letter they will be looking at their card!
